The Institute of Makers of Explosives in America has recently approved the application from AEISG to become one of its Liaison Members.

As such, both IME and AEISG will work more cooperatively on issues impacting our explosives industry members to further safety and security aspects involving explosives.

One example of this closer working relationship has been the invitation from IME for the AEISG CEO to join the IME UN Committee where all relevant UN submissions and papers are discussed to determine an explosives industry position which can be presented at the bi-annual UN meetings in Geneva. While AEISG and its members will maintain their independence, the opportunity to work closely with IME on issues of mutual interest will provide access to a broad range of views and opinions leading to more effective outcomes.
